📅Overview of Granulator Maintenance Cycles

Maintenance Categories

Core Tasks

Frequency/Cycle Reference

Daily/Shift Maintenance

Cleaning, Lubrication, Pre-operation Inspection, Safety Device Testing, Residue Removal

Per Shift or Per Day

Temporary/Weekly Maintenance

Inspect vulnerable parts such as screens/ scrapers, fasteners, and lubricant levels

Approximately every 120 operating hours or weekly

Monthly/Regular Maintenance

Comprehensively inspect motor bearings, safety interlocks and circuits, and replace the gearbox lubricating oil

Monthly or every 400 operating hours

Annual/Overhaul Maintenance

Replace the bag filter, and inspect or replace severely worn core components such as gears and bearings

Annually or every 5,000 operating hours

Maintenance for Long-term Shutdown

Thoroughly clean the equipment, apply anti-rust oil, drain the lubrication system, cut off the power supply, and store it in proper packaging

Before Shutdown and During Storage

🔧Special Tips for Different Types of Granulators

1.Wet Mixing Granulator: The key point is to thoroughly clean and dry the mixing chamber per shift to prevent residual materials from causing corrosion or cross-contamination.

2.Hot Processing Granulator (e.g., Twin-screw Extruder):

Never run the machine idling without materials. Always feed materials after preheating the machine to prevent material from adhering to the screw shaft.

Fully preheat the machine for approximately 40–50 minutes before startup. Thoroughly clean the die head when shutting down the machine.

Closely monitor the temperature of the machine body and bearings. Immediately stop the machine for inspection if abnormal overheating occurs.

3.Oscillating/Ring Die Pellet Mill: Focus on adjusting the clearance between the ring die and pressure rollers, as well as the wear condition of the screen. Excessive clearance will lead to low output and low pelletization rate.

4.Disc Pelletizer: Check that the scrapers are in good condition, ensure there are no agglomerated material lumps in the disc, and shut down the machine before adjusting the inclination angle.
